Job Type: Part-Time (25-30 hours a week)

Starting Pay: $13-$15/hr based on experience and proficiency.

​

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Tattoo Shop Manager to wrangle our artists and ensure the shop's smooth operation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the tattoo industry, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to shape shift and wear many hats. This is not a path towards a Tattoo Apprenticeship, please....really...we just need a Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

Team Management:

• Organize all the shit for the tattoo artists and support staff.

• Plan and schedule regular team meetings and communicate the shop needs to the team.

• Help artists manage and delegate Tattoo Request assignments.

Customer Service:

• Provide exceptional customer service and address client inquiries and concerns.

• Maintain a weird, welcoming, and professional atmosphere in the shop.

• Handle customer appointments and scheduling, as needed by our individual artists.

• Help artists send appointment reminders, confirm scheduled appointments, and double-check artists calendars. 

• Fill/mail online orders.

Inventory and Supplies:

• Manage inventory of tattooing supplies, equipment, and merchandise.

• Place orders and ensure adequate stock levels.

• Monitor and control costs to maximize profitability.

• Keep the Candy Skulls full.

Health and Safety Compliance:

• Enforce strict hygiene and safety standards in accordance with local regulations.

• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.

• Help maintain a clean and sterilized workspace.

Marketing and Promotion:

• Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new clients and help us keep existing clients.

• Manage social media accounts and promote the shop's work.

• Coordinate with artists on promotions and special events.

Administrative Tasks:

• Handle paperwork, contracts, and waivers related to tattoo services.

• Maintain accurate records of client information and transactions.

• Assist with bookkeeping and financial records as needed.

• The password is in the FAQs.

• Work with CJ our Financial Accountant (the scariest of us all) by preparing financial reports, handling receipts, bank deposits, and more.

Other Responsibilities:

• Order/pick-up Lunch and help keep our artists fed (and hydrated...some of us are really bad at this!)

• Shopping for supplies

• Cleaning the shop and taking out the trash and recycling.

• Decorating the shop for holidays and events.

​

Requirements:

• Previous experience in customer service is preferred.

• Previous experience in a similar role within the tattoo industry is not necessary, but acceptable.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

• Willingness to learn, understand, and implement health and safety regulations in the tattoo industry.

• Proficient in computer and scheduling software.

• High attention to detail and organization.

• Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends, and out of town as needed.
